FL: Man gives his own citations, uses fake badge

Post by Jumping Frog »

They just don't get much better than this. Use a fake badge to issue a citation to a deputy for "denial of right under color of law." :mrgreen: :smilelol5: :smilelol5:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/loc ... 5615.story" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

An excerpt:
. . . Peek refused to give the deputy his license or insurance and instead flashed a badge identifying himself as a "private attorney general" and "bounty hunter." Peek told the deputy he does lawsuits about "law enforcement insurgence" and promptly issued the deputy a phony "warning" citation for "denial of right under color of law."

>snip<

Deputies found marijuana in a lunch box in the car as well as an altered driver's license and a rotating blue light in the car. Deputies noted that the car had an antenna as well as a spotlight which could easily be mistaken for a police vehicle, according to the report.

Peek in an interview said he was "appalled" and felt threatened by the deputy. Peek said he'd ordered the badge from a company and carries the homemade "color of law" citations with him to be used whenever a public official violates a constitutional right. . . .
If he wants a phony title, why settle for "private attorney general"? I think he should claim "Emperor of Orlando", or "Grand Poo-bah of the Secret Order", or something really important. "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"

Another idea ruined by the execution. I like the idea of "citing" public officials for abuse of their positions. But this is not the way to do it.

I do wonder about the deputy drawing his gun after the window was rolled back up. Was there a threat to the deputy? If so, why did he end up holstering his weapon after the suspect requested him to? Weird... :confused5
