Blown away at IDPA!!
Wow, the match tonight was a total bust. I was thinking I might not make it home! That storm came in so fast and nasty! I got to Carollton when the tornado sirens started going off and the wind started howling around the truck. It was raining so hard, I couldn't see the names on the street signs no matter how close I got. Hwy 121 was a mess. Mud washed off the highway under construction, the road flooded and the barrels form the work area blocked traffic the whole way. I felt like I was in the middle of a hurricane!! Hope everyone made it home safely. Didn't even get to shoot 1 stage
I have IDPA withdrawals already. Is the range in Greenville having a match this weekend?

Here in East Fort Worth, the rain came down in buckets. I don't think I've seen rain drops that big in my lifetime and the wind was blowing very hard. On TV, Summit ave in downtown Fort Worth looked like a raging river.
Glad you made it home safely and I hope everyone else did too.

Wow. Didn't know El Paso wasn't the only one hammered today.
We actually had multiple tornado warnings going at once today, with pictures taken of one funnelcloud touching down. I honestly can't remember the last time that's happened; our mountains do a good job of breaking them up.
There was also the requisite hail and raindrops the size of golf balls, too, not to mention the absolutely splendid (and incredibly loud) light shows the sky put on last night and today.

Sorry, it was at Elm Fork. We didn't even get everyone through the first stage.

I was there, on that very area, the same day from 10a to about 4P doing a combat course for a security company. Actually I was there until about 2, but my partner was there till 4ish.age_ranger wrote:Sorry, it was at Elm Fork. We didn't even get everyone through the first stage.
It drizzled on us in the morning, but the rest of the day was OK.

YEah, it was really nice when we got there......up until about 7ish when the heavens opened up!!! When we got there, the local PD was still shooting. They stayed on to shoot the match and it turned into a nightmare. Worst storm I've ever been trapped in, for sure.
