NRA Certification needed?? WHAT??

I guess I've been asleep. What is this I'm reading about needing to be an NRA pistol instructor?? Luckily for me, I already is one but when did this become a requirement for CHL instructors?

I became NRA certified way before the CHL in order to work with Boy Scouts and Venture Crews.

Just wondering why I didn't get that memo!
