New York town removes flag as ‘offensive’ Tea Party symbol

Post by JJVP »

A veterans organization in a New York town is fighting for its right to fly a patriotic flag after the city council refused to let the group display the flag, calling it a symbol of the Tea Party with right-wing connotations.
NY, the cesspool of the USA. :banghead:

Not even a regular citizen complaining, but a city council member. Sounds like a projection of the council members bias. The difference is they can do a lot more damage from their lofty position. Pretty sad. At least the city manager tried to do the right thing initially.

Do they have a problem with Ben Franklin? Maybe they have a problem with our rich history prior to 1776?

...or perhaps they aren't Metallica fans

They have a problem with anyone who was associated with our Founding Fathers because they were NOT Saul Alinsky or some other socialist zealot. NY is the hotbed of socialism and many of them would tear up the Constitution tomorrow if they thought they could get away with it. They want a kinder, more socially oriented world in which all the masses were subjugated to their will.

From our tenure of living in NJ, we figured out that there is no hope for many in the NJ/NY area. They cannot get away from these kinds of leaders, supposedly duly elected.

They should fly the Culpeper flag or the first Navy Jack in the interim.

At this rate, maybe somebody should offer a Gonzales flag with a Gadsden flag in place of the cannon.
