Denied Money, Panhandler Allegedly Lights Man, Car on Fire

This is a sad commentary on how far society has/is devolving to have life nearly extinguished (absolutely no pun intended) over a denial of monies that the victim has worked for over the course of his life. It also gives me a greater appreciation for the Second Amendment rights we are able to exercise now as former Californians/Proud Texans.

I had to return to the Los Angeles area a little over a week ago and found the experience to be somewhat depressing. I wish a speedy recovery to the victim and swift and certain justice to the perpetrator.

Los Angeles proper is definitely what I would call a very "tired" looking place.

"It's a horrific crime to think that somebody's, really no motive, just sitting there, minding their own business and then to be lit on fire," Long Beach Police Sgt. Aaron Eaton told KABC.

No motive? The motive was anger. That Sergeant seriously can't see that?

Sad. Of course the man is obviously mentally ill. He should spend the night in a facility where his meds can be properly adjusted and then immediately released.

Assume that an encounter with anyone who asks for money is a prelude to a robbery and that they won't take "No" for an answer.

And even if they seem to be go their way, be extra sure they have left the area before letting your guard down.
