Gallup: Only 4% of Americans think gun control is important

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Gallup: Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem
April 16, 2013
By Michael James
(CNSNews.com) – Only 4 percent of Americans think guns and gun control are an important problem facing the country, according to Gallup, and far more Americans are concerned about the economy, unemployment and the federal debt.

In its poll from Apr. 4-7, Gallup surveyed 1,005 adults by telephone and asked, “What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?”

Respondents answered in the following order:
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

I agree, gun talk and immigration are diversionary tactics to hide the economy. It's working too :banghead:

Yes, the other 10% are those gun nuts who are going to shoot all their magazines,
then they won't have anymore. :-)

Funny I heard the POTUS quoted as saying he believes 7 of 10 americans want more gun control.
I was at my local liquor store when I say that news spot.. I asked all 8 people in the store if they wanted more gun regulations,, all said hell no,, just arrest the criminals with guns now,, and actually put um in jail,, not work release parole .

I think the same way the store patrons do. There seems to be an ever growing disconnect between the thoughts / expectations of the every day citizen and the politicos in Washington who rather than being citizen legislators, instead try to make a career out of politics.

One accurate statistic is that 100% of what comes out of soetero's mouth is a lie.

Obama says 90% of Americans want more gun control. Uh huh - and I can imagine the Leftie pollsters who came up with that stat: "Do you think that people with a mental illness and have exhibited tendencies toward mass murder should or should not be allowed to have a gun?" (Which would be reported as "Do you think that people...should or should not be allowed to have a gun?").
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
