I'm glad he's in Virginia. Hopefully, he will remain there, or maybe emigrate to New Zealand, his idea of paradise. I'm also fine with him having an opinion, which is his First Amendment right. I'm not fine with his interpretation of how our Second Amendment rights should be interpreted. This train of thought should illustrate to anyone why the potential for the president to appointe another Supreme Court Justice or two should be horrifying.
Back to Mr. Abraham;
Abraham is a businessman...
He would not be concerning himself with soiling his hands with my money.
Our government really should take your gun away.
I'm not sure of how to respond. Nothing immediately comes to mind that's publically appropriate or within boad guidelines.
Owning a gun to protect the citizenry from a tyrannical government is nonsensical, obsolete fantasy.
Hmnnn. OK. I guess we can make the assumption that this guy is a full on statist-progressive.
Owning a gun for personal security is statistically unrealistic.
RIght. Let's go through the multiple reports on armed citizens successfully defending themselves and their families against criminals. We deal in the real world, not statistics.
It’s high time to show the world — and ourselves — we can get sane again.
You know, I have no issue with you "getting sane". Simply do it in another country and leave my rights alone. If that implies an altered political condition in the United States, fine.
This guy is a perfect example of one of the privileged sheep (New Zealand vacation) that buys into the "all inclusive" role for government. He completely trust in his government to be all things to hima nd his family, to the point where he eschews self protection outside of calling the police for "professional" assistance. He's have been right at home in Boston, when they shut the city down and its residents hid in their houses like mice, waiting for the "official" responders.
The problem with folks like this are that there are alot of them, and they see nothing wrong in imposing their view of the Constitution on the rest of us. I bet if you ask Mr. Abraham, he'd heartily endorse the "Living Constitution" idea.
