This is an embarrassing question, but  how do I find out who my representative is?

1. I know someone already asked this, but can you elaborate on the progress/status of any open carry bills?
2. Someone mentioned "listening in" to the debate. Is there a way to do this? Is it just on the radio or televised? If the radio, what frequency and time?

Thanks for all the info and keep up the good work.

One of the several threads on the declared dead open carry bill, in the open carry discussion subforum below.

I have sent detailed e-mails to my Representative and Senator concerning my positions on the above bills.

I sent off my letters, phone calls and faxes. Here's an email that I got back:
Thank you for contacting my office to voice your concerns over the 2nd Amendment and gun control. I appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with me on this important issue.
As a proud gun owner, I share your concerns that our 2nd Amendment rights need to be protected. I believe that gun ownership is a fundamental right in this country and support citizens in their effort to properly defend themselves.
I would like to inform you that I am a joint author of House Bill 1076, the Firearms Protection Act as well as House Bill 972, relating to campus carry. There are also a handful of other bills that look to expand the rights of lawful gun owners and I plan to support many of these measures too.
Again, thank you for your sharing your concerns. If I can ever be of assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Klick
Texas State Representative

Just got an alert that SB 1907 passed the Senate. Did this just happen this afternoon or have I been living under a rock?

I have not gotten that alert yet but this is good news for the college students.

Charles,
HB 2535 relating to church volunteers has been pending since 4/11. Is this bill dead?
