If they needed evil maguffin to revive someone why didn't they just use the blood of one of the unopened Popsicles?

Presumably because nobody understood the technology to have confidence in reviving one (but somehow, SOMEBODY in the blown-up secret lab did). Oddly, they knew enough to re-popsicle Kahn. Apparently, genies CAN be stuffed back in the bottle. :smilelol5:

I have a question about the old Spock from the last movie. Wasn't he supposed to be over 200 years old? I thought the Vulcan's started loosing control of their emotions or something like that before they reached 200. Wasn't that when his dad did in one of the movies or something?

EDIT: Looked it up myself and Sarek had Bendii Sydrome. Apparently, only a small minority of elderly Vulcans get that.
