Umbrella mistaken for assault rifle

NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -
A New Jersey light rail shutdown was due to an umbrella that was mistaken for an assault rifle.

Someone had reported to police that a man wearing black pants, white dress shirt, with a cast on his arm was "armed with a long barrel assault weapon" had gotten on the train.

I guess in NJ, a bumbershoot qualifies as an "assault weapon," although I've never seen a bumber, or seen one shot.

If the socialists get their way, umbrellas will probably be banned as assault weapons. After all, I could swat you with it, give you a nasty poke, or quickly open and close it while walking towards you in a menacing manner. There is no place for that in the new world order.
