PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland police disarmed a man accused of swinging a toy light saber at customers in a toy store, assaulting at least three of them.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says officers found the man - still swinging the light saber - in the parking lot of a Toys R Us store Wednesday night at the Jantzen Beach mall. One officer tried to use a Taser but it was ineffective.

A second officer made contact with his Taser but the man used his light saber to break one of the wires.

Light sabers are cool, but I would love to get my hands on a phaser.

Those things are dangerous. They keep going into overload and exploding.

That's the great part about it. Carry a back up and you have a phaser grenade combo. The glass if half full brother.

Who was his running mate? Chewbaca?
That could be awkward at family reunions. I hear Chewbacca is related to FLOTUS.

Just don't wear a red shirt when using the thing and you'll be fine.

I had the Ewok village when I was younger. They were my favorite characters in the trilogy. Im hoping 7 won't suck.
Lucky!!!!! I loooooved the Ewoks! I always wanted a plush Ewok. There is one at the comic books store in Bedford. The inner child in me wants it, but then the adult in me kicks in. Lol
