Online Contact Lenses

Post by troglodyte »

Anyone here order their contacts online?

At age 50 my arms just aren't long enough anymore. I suffer from presbyopia. I am not a paid spokesperson.

I got fitted for multi-focal contacts this morning so now I'm looking for suggestions for an online supplier with a good reputation and prices.

And what really impressed me is the doctor asked if I shoot and what distance I needed to see the sights. Then she tweaked the Rx.

The rest of my family wears/wore contacts but I haven't paid much attention to them. Any suggestions for a person who may be all day at the computer one day to all day in the wind and dirt the next day?

My Doc had to order the first set and will set me up for online reorder for subsequent orders.

Actually, I don't find the online prices to be hugely lower than Sam's Club or Walmart.

I'd suggest just getting a box locally and seeing of you like them first.

I tried multi-focal lenses and just did not like the results.

Contacts - didn't find the online places much cheaper than the "discount" for ordering a year's worth through my Dr. Try them before you get a year's worth first.

You will likely want to find a pair of safety glasses with protection from the wind and sand. I have a pair of WileyX with removable foam inserts that block the dust on windy days, I find them priceless and love them. That being said I ordered them from RxSafety.com at 1/3 the price from my eye doctors office. I got prescription ones as my eyes just "ain't what they used to be.

You've lost hair?! I seem to be sprouting new hair in the most ridiculous places! Or where one might normally expect hair, it seems to lengthen a quarter of an inch every day.
