I've seen this artist's work before....or at least someone who does the same thing. Actually, in this particular picture, he's more obvious than in some of the others I've seen. In some of them, you have to look a little harder to see the artist.

These ones jumped out at me (pun intended), just because I like the pictures:

And then there is a school of artists who do the same thing with inanimate objects:

What would be cool is if a camouflage technology ever becomes practical—and available to the public—which will allow one set of camos to blend into any background on the fly this way, like a chameleon. Imagine a ghillie suit made up of fabric swatches that acted this way, so that not only would you blend into any background from a color perspective, but your outline would be broken up too. You would become virtually (literally "virtually") invisible in any kind of a rural/semi-rural setting, and nearly invisible beyond a short distance away in an urban environment.

Of course, infrared technologies can already see through camouflage, but still.....

In a day and age in which the goobermint's Prism and other software can actually watch what you type, as you type it, the ability to become invisible both literally and figuratively is extremely attractive.

It's been done. I saw a news article about it back in the summer of 87 and Arnold Schwarzenegger was trying to catch or kill it in Central America. :biggrinjester:
