Chelsea Clinton Laments: My Grandmother Did Not Have Access to Planned Parenthood
by Rebecca Oas, Ph.D. | New York, NY | LifeNews.com | 6/20/13 4:22 PM
New York, NY (CFAM) — From the stage at the recent Women Deliver conference, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea revealed that her much-admired maternal grandmother was the child of unwed teenage parents who “did not have access to services that are so crucial that Planned Parenthood helps provide.”

Chelsea’s grandmother was born of an unintended pregnancy. And new research shows that her family is not alone in treasuring a person who – if Planned Parenthood had been successful – would not have been born.
Hey, when you're right, you're right.

To the mods, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to start an unwinnable flame war between opponents and proponents of abortion. I just thought that this headline was HUGELY funny, and I wanted to share that humor with others. If it weren't for the source of the article, I would have sworn that this was straight from the pages of The Onion.

Double edged sword? She laments that her grandmother didn't have access to abortion doctors...she doesnt get that she maybe never would have been born had the abortions taken place and Hillary not been born. Kind of a catch-22 there for Chelsea.

That article does a really good job of taking what someone said and making it fit the writer's/editor's agenda.

Well of course it does, which is why I stated in my OP that I wasn't interested in a debate about the pros and cons of the issue. I was just vastly amused at the irony of Chelsea Clinton's statement, which is undeniably ironic.

Is this for real? Is she so self-loathing she wishes her grandmother, mother, and self did not exist?

Seriously?

First, I thought the Supremes gave abortion "constitutional backing" in Roe v. Wade.

Second, I don't appreciate being called "rabid".

Wait......she wishes the woman who gave birth to her mother was never born, but instead had been torn apart in her great grandmothers womb....WHAT???

That makes no sense whatsoever. Has she lost her mind?

Have more time to clarify -

I'm a pretty rabid gun activist myself as in I aggressively pursue the expansion of gun rights. I'm sure many here are.

Re: constitutionality of terminating pregnancies, I don't see an explicit protection of the activity spelled out in clear language like I do with 2A.

That was all - didn't intend to open the can, I just think most aggressively pro-abortion folks have little constitutional protection to stand on.
