ND - no one hurt
So, being the type that likes to figure out how all the pieces and parts work, I was looking at the safety interlocks on my gun to see if it was possible to bypass them. Figured out how, pulled the trigger and it went off. That's when I learned that even through the indicator says empty and it won't fire, there are still five nails left in my nail gun. Ricocheted off the wood fence about twelve feet away and hit the wall about ten feet behind me, missing dear wife by about three feet.
Dear wife was not amused.

1. I'm glad nobody was injured.
2. If Bloomberg hears about this, he'll make a law against fully automatic weapons of mass construction.

Now, there's an idea....compressed air tank on your back and a nail gun in your hand......
Oh, wait,.....the World has not reached that point....YET!

I saw that movie. "The Nail Gun Massacre" even took place in Texas. I think it starred Bruce Willis!AEA wrote:Now, there's an idea....compressed air tank on your back and a nail gun in your hand......![]()

If you can convert that to "full auto", I'd buy it from you.

Didn't have to disassemble anything, just hold two parts in certain positions.AEA wrote:Ummm......maybe put the safety interlocks back in service?
Thinking about all the movies where someone got shot with a nail gun from several feet I wanted to see what was required to get it to fire. I just didn't realize it was still loaded when the indicator was at empty. Actually, I guess that's a "you need to reload" and not an empty indicator.

Sounds like something Alfred E. Newman would do.
