American Rifle and Pistol Association: BEWARE

Post by OldCannon »

So, looks like there's a new "soft peddle" 2A group out there calling itself the "American Rifle and Pistol Association" (http://amriflepistol.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). This looks like a serious "Trojan Horse" organization that is determined to erode our 2A rights (they embrace "sensible restrictions"), and, sadly, are based in Spicewood, Texas (seriously? Spicewood?).

Be EXTREMELY wary of these people.

More details here: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/0 ... urce=pubv1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

It would be sensible to avoid them.

I just took a look at their published values and goals for reference, in case you'd like to join or object:

http://amriflepistol.com/statement-of-principles/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://amriflepistol.com/mission-and-values/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Clearly technology savvy based on what I see elsewhere.

No, their main objective is to extract money from YOU! :roll:
And with that objective, to make it more difficult for you to pay the ammo tax that is coming! :eek6

Their materials don't initially offend... and then you see little statements like this:
The types of weapons, ammunition types, and ammunition capacities allowed by law should be established by Best Practices, as exemplified by the standards of local law enforcement, private security, and top competition marksmen and hunters – never by cosmetic attributes. Basically, whatever equipment the experts deem most appropriate and effective should be available to any other citizen potentially facing the same threats.
Yeah, I don't need anyone, deemed an expert or not, to tell me what should be available. "Sensible" gun control to me means actually following the brilliant doctrine outlined by our founding fathers that has created and sustained this nation... the Constitution! Scary how so many "rational" and "sensible" folks have been brain washed to willingly flush our god given rights down the toilet... 2A and others.

Is there something wrong with the air in and around Austin? There must be a lack of oxygen or something, maybe too much mercury in the water..
