I would be good for the 27th. Not sure if I would want to go all the way downtown somewhere though. The Quarry would be cool with me.

I've been dragging my feet hoping to hear from SATX-Scrub, the only other respondent who was able to make it this Saturday. I've PM'd him as well. Anybody know him?

IIRC, the Quarry is a big place. Whereabouts would be the place to meet there?

I heard from SATX-scrub this morning and he's good with the 27th. This Saturday is officially off.

Where at the Quarry is a good place to meet?

Ok, I'm in for the 27th, the Quarry sounds good to me, anywhere there is fine, lots to choose from! I'm game for where ever ya'all pick!

JALLEN, have you ever herded cats. Arranging one of these meets is kinda like that.

Thanks for rescheduling. I can make it the 27th, but the 20th is my granddaughter's first birthday party. She took precedence over you guys.

I'm an experienced cat herder actually. We used to have 16 cats when I was a kid, always had several. Now, 60 years later I have 3 that made the trip from California last month and are holding up even in this peculiar weather.

I may have to go find one of those whatchacallitz that folks around here hold over their heads in the rain. I think I owned one when I was at UT.

The funny thing is that whoever it was who most generously offered to buy me a beer near the Alamo when my move was announced has never come forward. I can't find the post or PM, and can't remember who it was, either.

 you probably won't need that whatchacallit again for several months, unfortunately.

I've got next 5 guys on my calendar for the 27th!
