Defective headlight ticket in Fort Worth

Post by paperchunker »

Does anyone have experience with a defective headlight ticket in Ft Worth? My granddaughter received ticket last Friday and got it back out of the shop today. It was a defective unit that had been installed a couple of months ago. Does she need to appear in court to try to get it dismissed, or ??

You may be able to have it dismissed and just pay the Court cost. Call the Municipal Court and ask. They will be glad to help you. Be sure to get name, number, and time of who you talked to and follow through immediately.

Yes, it has vague generic instructions on how to plead (ng,nc etc) and a phone number to very unhelpful person.

I guess I will try again tomorrow and maybe get a better clerk. :banghead:

Fix it ticket.

Non Moving violation so it shouldn't affect insurance. betting on about $200.00 to fix it, defer it or pay it! Ticket is a bout $125.00 and court costs are about $75.00.

Ok, The actual answer is:

Fix it ticket- Yes, but I was looking for the process..

The process is
1. Get it repaired
2. Take the ticket and the receipt to Municipal Court, (only 1 location downtown for 750K population)
3. Wait to see Judge
4. Judges dismisses
5. Pay $10 fee
