Walmart in Pearland/Friendswood has had a couple thousand rounds of 223 for a couple of days now. They have half of them federal AE in 30 round packs with stripper clips for 14.47 which comes to 50c/round and winchester 20 packs for much more than 50/round.

I bought 45acp instead. They have a couple of 40 and 45 wwb left.

Looks like ammo is becoming more available lately. I dont think it will ever be near the price it was before the gun grab stuff happened. Now that the retailers
know we will pay "anything" for ammo, the greed will be there. Just like gas-It's all about money & greedy people. :banghead:

It already has. Brass and powder are up and it seems like it is taking longer for things to return to normal in this space.

Cabela's has 9mm Remington UMC FMJ on sale for $13.99 for a box of 50.

I believe there is no shipping charge if you use "ship to store".

It was there when I posted it. A coworker had just ordered some immediately before I posted.

Now, it says "in stock", but when you try to add it to your cart, it comes back with a message saying it's out of stock. :???:

Keep checking Georgia Arms (http://www.georgia-arms.com), they are US manufacturers that often have 500 or 1000 bulk TMJs available, shipped in an ammo cans, they call it 'canned heat'.

TMJ ammo fully encloses the lead so its healthier for indoor range shooting: no lead from the rear of the bullet is evaporated during firing and less lead in inhaled by the shooter.

500 rounds of 9mm 115gr, $130 + $27 s/h, no tax= $157, 31.4¢ per round. Shipped in a 7.62x39 ammo can.
1000 rounds of 9mm 115gr, $250 + $45 s/h, no tax = $295, 29.5¢ per round. Shipped in a 7.62x39 ammo can.

Limited purchase of one per person, but I think 500 or 1000 rounds is a reasonable purchase!

They also make 124gr and 147gr, but those cost a touch more.

They have other calibers too, but I'm only in the market for 9mm.

Good luck, and carry on!
