Girls and Boys,
I have been avoiding getting my hair cut since I purchased this new house and moved in because my previous hair cut place is now an hour and a half away and now I look like I am homeless.
I don't do anything special with my hair, it is usually #2 on the sides and make it work on the top so I don't need anything super duper special just someone that knows how to cut hair properly and won't mess me up too much. I live around the 183/MacArthur area and just need something that is dependable and semi cheap. Any of you have any suggestions?

Can't help you, I've been doing my own hair for years now. Thinking of upgrading to one of these.

Story and Irving Blvd. Coming off of Hwy 183 go south. You will see a KFC on your right. When you come to the second red light past KFC (the red light before Irving Blvd) turn right. Just past the Radio Shack in the shopping center on your right is a Barber Shop.
His name is Mike and if you do have to wait it will take him about 4 minutes to give you a fantastic hair cut.

Just so you know he is closed on Sunday and Monday. So if you can't find a place you will have to continue to look homeless until then.

A bit further off topic.....
I recently moved near the town I grew up in, after an absense of 45 years.
A few weeks after we arrived I had the honor to be invited to dinner by a lawyer I had worked for while in HS and college. I was wondering about what to do about haircuts and asked him. He told me about the shop he has been going to for 35 years, and where it was. I got to thinking that it sounded an awfully like the place my grandad used to take me and my brother nearly 60 years ago.
Dang if it wasn't! The barber was about 3 years ahead of me in HS, had been there since '73. The shop had opened in 1953, 60 years ago. Almost nothing had changed except the prices. I think I spotted the Readers Digest issue with the sinking of the Andrea Doria, but somebody else was reading it!

I bought a Wahl Senior about 20 plus years ago to trim my beard.
As time passed, my hair went from thinning, to balding, to bald, with a bit of side fringe desperately clinging on, the Wahl Senior after beard trimming now keeps going north...voila' I'm now Mr. Clean.
The bald look is in. Save yourself a whole bunch of moola and invest in one of these high quality trimmers (it's the model barbers use) and do your own clean slate look.
If you remove the comb from the trimmer, you can cut your hair down to razor close (without nicking) requiring no talent whatsoever.
Doing your own hair cutting means no waiting, no fee, no disappointment if the cut isn't to your liking. And, diy means your hair cut quality (removal) is consistent.
