Analyze the stories and see what we can learn from them. Post appropriate comments and links. You can do this all day. There are about 100 criminal shootings a day in the U.S. (not necessarily murders, but everything from robbery to illegal hunting).

I used to do this, but I have other demands on my attention now.

overall i would say you're absolutely correct. the quality of information/people found here is top notch. so much so that i feel that i can learn way more here than i could ever possibly meaningfully contribute on a regular basis.

from what i've seen, most forums that track post counts see a fair amount of post count, uh, padding. kind of like every organized bike tour/ride i've been on. it's not a race, but tell that to the front leading pack. it's not nearly as prevalent around here which adds to the overall usefulness of the discussions.
