And I am not doing it simply to avoid getting punished. I am doing it, because it's the right thing to do, and I want to teach my kids the importance of doing the right thing even in small aspects and tiny nuances, when it may seem that it doesn't matter. Because it always matters... At least, in someone's eyes.

Actually, tat would be fine with me if I never have to go again. All i seem to get is bills or junk mail.

There's a business in Austin that will scan all your mail and deliver it to you for something like $7 a month.
I have a USPS account with a label printer. If it fits into the mailbox, it ships. Seriously, I haven't been to the post office in more than 9 months.

How is it immoral? You're indicating that I'm acting immorally if I choose to disarm before entering the post office.
Unconstitutional, I agree with you there... Immoral? I just don't see it.
