Wally-walk in near future

Post by tfrazier »

As of today web status is "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active".

Plastic will be here soon. Now I just need to decide which wally world to take my walk in and get that IWB for my PX4Storm. Anyone know of a good place to buy one within 25 miles of Grapevine? Selections are very poor at the usual places, hoping for a good police supply locale.

-UPDATE Plastic arrived today! I'm out of the Waiting Room but I'll stop by and visit once in awhile. :anamatedbanana

I know that there is GST in Grand Prairie, but I think you have to be a public safety employee before they let you in the door. I am not sure about Bass Pro and what they have. I am pretty sure Cabella's has different IWB holsters, but please don’t quote me on it. You could look at cheaper than dirt in Fort Worth as well.

Gee after reading my response I guess my information is pretty useless. Good luck sir.

Try Dallas Public Safety Supply - downtown Dallas. I haven't been there but some others have said good things about the selection and attention there.

Well I have been there, and that place rules!
the gentleman with the long hair is very friendly, helpful, and funnay as all get out!
You may also look at Academy Sports and/or Outdoors, located in sunny Lewisville, Tejas, north of you off of 3040 (from Grapezilla, you can take 121, to 3040 [round rock/hebron pkwy] across 35E, and it's in that first strip mall/shopping ctr on yer right. down from Toys 'R' Us.
the Sportsman's Warehouse is also just down the street a wee bit, also.

the WallyWorld off of Main St can fulfill all of your WallyWalk criterium, but they don't have much of nuthin' worth gettin'.

Try Gun Leather if the other suggestions don't pan out. They are at 116 Lipscomb St, just south of downtown Ft. Worth..just across the street from the Justin Boot outlet store in the old Shooter's Palace building..

They are well stocked with Don Hume holsters. Great people to deal with.

a BIG +1 for Gun Leather. Great products at VERY reasonable prices. It is all professional grade leather goods, not your Big Box store junk.

****HINT*** you can also get some pretty decent cover garments at the Dickies Outlet around the corner

try Doc's gunshop in Carrollton.. he has a decent holster selection.
On Whitlock off of I-35 a couple blocks. Place doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you...

Thaks, Guys!
I didn't know dpss was the same place that used to be Wald's Police Supply. Used to go there when I was an LEO. Went yesterday and picked up a temporary Don Hume IWB for $20 while I try to decide which of the $100+ models to procure. The staff was very helpful and didn't try to push anything on me. I'll try the place in Carrolton tomorrow, too, since it'll be a lot closer for me.
