Renewal Classes - Coverage Map

Post by troglodyte »

Just for grins I decided to print out a map showing the current renewal class sites.

Each has a 150 mile radius (Approx a 2-2.5 hour drive. I am being generous)

I can understand the Big Bend region not having a class as I am aware there are probably not many instructors in that area. Brownsville area - out of luck. Panhandle - sorry, you have to drive/fly to DFW, Austin, or Houston. Rolling plains - You're a little closer but pack your bags.

A class or two in Lubbock and Brownsville would cover most of the rest of the instructors. Of those not covered, most would be within 3 hours drive.

Please help us out DPS.

At least they're not making everybody go to Austin this time.

Interesting. I wonder how many instructors are in the panhandle?

Quick count from the list of instructors on the CHL website:

Midland/Odessa to Abilene north through panhandle.

275+/- instructors that would be covered by the 150 radius around Lubbock. Well over 300 if we stretch it just a little to include the very northern tip of the panhandle and a little west of Midland/Odessa.

Seems like that would justify a class in lubbock or midland.
