San Antonio PD ambushed suspects w/AR15

Post by texanjoker »

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two men are facing attempted capital murder charges after police said they shot at a San Antonio police officer on the West Side Saturday morning.

A bullet from a scoped rifle came through the officer's police cruiser window and hit the computer, which exploded, sending glass into both his eyes, said Sgt. Javier Salazar, a department spokesman.
I would like to see if they were at the OC rally that day since the weapon found in their truck was an ar15. Could be a coincidence, maybe not. Regardless nice to know there are snipers running around taking shots at leos. Being victim of a drive by is bad! Glad they caught them :thumbs2: .

My thoughts exactly. How do we even know they were the shooters? How do we know their frame of mind and what their perception was? They may have been in fear of their lives? Just not enough information from the media reports. Will have to wait until the factual investigation is complete before I can make any judgments on this case. Not near enough information known at this point.

While we are making wild guesses, I would like to see if it was a Mexican Drug Cartel intent on bringing the drug war to San Antonio since SA would be a big hub in underground drug trafficing. Probably used an AR-15 directly from “Fast and Furious.”

Or, maybe we should wait and see what the investigation turns up…

I post a story with a question I have. This is a question any investigator would be ask ( I know I would) if they didn't have a motive and the mention of coincidence is pretty clear. Instead of legit comments in reply I receive several postings like yours. See if I post a legit story again in here because this gets old.

Wow, so sensitive. I just responded similarly to how you typically respond when the cop is the shooter and you take offense to it. Interesting. No offense intended.

I'll continue to withhold judgement until I learn more facts from the investigation.

I still think it is a huge jump to ask the question about the open carry rally across town.

From the article..
They "fled about a quarter mile to a city park where they crashed through a gate and abandoned the truck," McManus said. "Inside the truck, we found an AR-15 assault rifle."
Never heard of that rifle. You would think policeone.com would be smart enough to know the correct terminology on firearms.
