I believe a substantial percentage of these violent home invasions are at houses involved in the drug trade. Targets for drugs and cash.

I read in a widely known, but now out of print, crime scene defense book by a former San Diego PD that home invaders and their crimes are the worst of the worst of the worst. If you are ever the victim of an invasion, you have to do absolutely everything you can from letting the situation become protracted, even if it means becoming gravely injured in the process. Of course, a handily available Winchester 870 with .00 or slugs will go a long way to nipping it in the bud!
Anyone remember the name of the book? I "loaned" it out awhile back and haven't seen it since.

I'll never forget that one as long as I live. It really shook me to my core. I can't bring myself to read about it anymore. All I know is its the first time that I ever had the thought that I could personally flip the switch on those two. I'm glad the father has remarried and has a new baby now.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

Wonder if he has a gun at home and keeps it close? Its Connecticut, so difficult to have a gun, unless your a criminal.
