Re: Men Arrested for $45 Million in ATM Thefts
A step up from your normal criminal. Never understood a guy who commits armed robbery at a convenient store for $35 and faces more prison time for that. Not saying I would ever choose a life of crime, but risking 7+ years in prison for $45 million changes the calculus.Defendants Anthony Diaz, 24; Saul Franjul, 23; Saul Genao, 24; Jaindhi Polanco, 29; and Jose Angeley Valerio, 25, pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit access device fraud, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office. They face a possible seven-and-a-half years in prison. A sixth defendant, Franklyn Ferreira, was arrested later on Monday but had not been arraigned, the spokesman said.

Let's see $45 million divided by six divided by 7 years.Jumping Frog wrote:A step up from your normal criminal. The math only works if you get to keep the money.

If you keep the money, be sure to report it and pay the taxes, or they will get you on that beef too.
By the time you do the seven years, time off for good behavior of course, I rather imagine you will be all too happy to not spend more time there.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I'd gladly pay the taxes on $7 million in income.JALLEN wrote:If you keep the money, be sure to report it and pay the taxes, or they will get you on that beef too.
