Well, it makes a lot of sense, especially when 12 year old junior is 6' and weighs 180.

As I understand it, the GENERAL rule of thumb is 80lbs+ is ok to take out of booster seats (or seat belt adjustment devices). That's what we followed.
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

As I understand it, that is still the general rule.OldCannon wrote:As I understand it, the GENERAL rule of thumb is 80lbs+ is ok to take out of booster seats (or seat belt adjustment devices). That's what we followed.

As stated earlier there are 12 year olds that look like college linebackers, there are some adults that are as small as your average 12 year old. Where do we draw the line? Nannyism at it's worst. A little common sense would help here.

I have a lady friend who is quite "petite". She would probably have a hard time driving her Lexus while sitting in a booster seat.MoJo wrote:As stated earlier there are 12 year olds that look like college linebackers, there are some adults that are as small as your average 12 year old. It is not weight either. It is more size/height so that the seat belt fits properly. And I also know a few adult women that should probably be using a booster seat.WildBill wrote:As I understand it, that is still the general rule.OldCannon wrote:As I understand it, the GENERAL rule of thumb is 80lbs+ is ok to take out of booster seats (or seat belt adjustment devices).
