I went to the Airport (DFW) to pick up my son for Thanksgiving holidays.
I looked everywhere and saw no 30.06 signs. not even gun buster signs. We walked into the baggage pick up area, not the boarding area.
Is it legal to carry there?

Legal. Just don't try to go into the secure area with it. They will have a snit fit and you'll have a very bad day or three.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: Airports
It is my understanding that it is only illegal to carry in secure areas of the airport. From PC 46.03:
A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses or goes with a f irearm, illegal knife, club, or prohibited weapon listed in Section 46.05(a):
...
(5) in or into a secured area of an airport.

Yup. I work at AUS and it's fine to CC as long as you don't go into the secure area. That is a federal issue. You don't want that trouble.
Hello. My name is Red and I used to carry a .45. Now I carry a 9mm and it's getting easier to admit every day.
