Purse Snatcher in Katy
Purse Snatcher in Katy
Watch how bold this crook is. Even worse, look at the response of the witness. He actually picks up his child and places him between the BG and himself. The lady had $1200 cash in her purse. I think the BG must have known this.

The two robbers were caught on video at a mall trying to use the stolen credits cards. I think that they we arrested very quickly.howdy wrote:Watch how bold this crook is. I didn't realize the post was so old. Maybe they're the guys who robbed the lady at the Walmart in Round Rock today.howdy wrote:This actually happened in August and they are just now putting it out to the public. There were still out there as of yesterday.

The post is new. The news media/police did not release the video until yesterday, November 26. The event happened in August.

Sorry. I didn't mean the post on the forum, just the incident.howdy wrote:WildBill wrote:I didn't realize the post was so old. Personally, I believe the news story labeling it a "purse snatching" is a euphemism. In reality, hitting her on the head and taking property directly from her is robbery, and if the woman is 65 it is aggravated robbery.
Both felonies justify the use of deadly force.

It's too bad the lady wasn't armed and prepared.

Another example to me why purse carry is a bad idea. If she had been carrying and the gun was in her purse then she would not only be out the $1250 in cash but also whatever she paid for the gun. If she had been carrying on body she could have given up the purse without a fight and then drawn on the BG in order to retrieve her property. This might also have kept her from getting a knock on the head and the injuries she suffered from going after the BG (which evidently cost her even more since she lost her job because of the time she missed due to her injuries).
Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.

I'm so glad I carry on my person now. This is also a good example of how fast a BG can get on you. Hope they catch these punks.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

If that was me behind the getaway car that fella would have been missing a door and it would be very hard for him to get in the driver seat with my truck sitting in it...
