It's madness I tell you, Madness!

Post by MoJo »

A local "what's going on" Facebook page reports the cops have been called to Wal*Mart because of physical confrontations over televisions and other merchandise. My lord, has the world gone mad?

I just experienced my first Thanksgiving shopping madness at Walmart in Austin. I just went in for a few items and grabbed the second to the last basket. It was mayhem! I've not seen anything like it! Lines wrapped and twisting and turning with people pushing filled carts of electronics and clothes. It was like everything was free or something. Lol.

My son witnessed 2 women arguing. One woman was hitting her with her basket.

All I kept thinking to myself was, "I am so glad I'm armed!"
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

Wally Mart incites violence! The government must ban Walmart!

"Black Friday" sales are, in my opinion, as much to be avoided as some of the scarier parts of town. Caveat Emptor, indeed.

One day we are giving thanks for the things we have, the next day we are fighting over the things we want.

This is becoming my least favorite holiday.

Unfortunately now it's the same day. Looks like a lot of stores began the Friday shopping experience at 5:00pm Thursday.

There's a cure for this: Stay Home!

We won't be going anywhere beyond our yard today...

I was listening to the radio at 6:30 this morning and they reported that some of the mall parking lots were already 60-80% full at that time. I am not going anywhere near a place to shop today. I just finished loading a bunch of 45 ACP ammo. Will go to the Y to work out then head out to PSC to chronograph the different batches of ammo that I just loaded. With everyone shopping today, I expect the places I am going to be like ghost towns :-).
