Dillon XL650 spilling powder

Post by thatguy »

My 650 will spill powder (titegroup) from a case (9mm) at random (every 20th case). I changed the detent spring back to the old spring so there is not as much tension (Iv'e seen where some cut the spring down...). Could it be a worn shell plate or maybe the retaining pins?

I've cut a couple coils off the spring--it helped; then added the bearing and washers and now it's smooth. Might try it

Do a search for Dillon 650 shellplate jump and you'll find the bearing and washers.
