Greetings--

Collin County occasionally offers classes for SO certification. John Piper taught the one I took in Tyler last year. I havent had a chance to check, but someone mentioned that IDPA either changed or was going to change the requirements for the class/certification.

Safety Officer Class

Post by gfmun »

Cross Timbers IDPA hosted a Safety Officer Training Class last month in Fort Worth. This is an all day class with a 100 question written exam and range time/put into play what you learned time. Our class was taught by John Piper from Collin County IDPA and it was great. Leonard Head from Cleburne is also a Safety Officer Instructor ( only 2 in North Texas ) and I can put you in contact with Leonard if you PM me.

thanks, George

Work with your local club first, there might actually be a demand for a class and one might get scheduled soon.

However, if you're near Central Texas, I know of a class the last weekend of June. PM me if you're interested.
