Yep... we should immediately outlaw all flare guns.

Re: Baytown Man Killed in Flare Gun Accident
When I was 11 or 12 I blew up our garage.
I don’t want to talk about it. To this day my mother and sisters won’t let me live it down.

God Bless America, and please hurry.

When I was 7 I burned 50 acres. Thought I did anyway. Turns out after the fire department came out to address my fire they decided it was as good a time as any to get rid of a bunch of brush that was a fire hazard during drier seasons. Was so relived when my Dad told me all the smoke we could see from our house was not the wildfire I thought it was.VoiceofReason wrote:When I was 11 or 12 I blew up our garage.I don’t want to talk about it. When I go to visit them I know it is going to happen.
It’s just a matter of when.
One of them will say “Hey do you remember the time”.
How could I forget.
I am now 67.

Just imagine if that flare gun had one of them evil 30 round mags. It would be blood flowing in the streets I tell ya!03Lightningrocks wrote:Yep... we should immediately outlaw all flare guns.

Well, I don't know. My friend, Captain Hook, by his example "fixed" a great many stupid folks in our crowd when a slight informality mixing a batch of new and improved firework material cost him a garage, a hand, an eye, a good part of his intestines and a significant diminution in his hearing. Whether it actually fixed it, or merely took what they are pleased to call their minds off of it for the time being I can't say. Only time will tell, I suppose.CoffeeNut wrote:You can't fix stupidWildBill wrote:suthdj wrote:What work could you do on a flare gun. Maybe taking apart a flare to see what make it tick.Investigators believe Cook was building a larger explosive device from fireworks and using a 37mm launcher when things went wrong. They believe he was attempting to fire it in the backyard of his home when it exploded in his hands.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
