Denton County Sheriff Dept. has got one to this day - unless newly elected guy is doing something with it. When Benny Parkey signed off on my Form 4, he said it was confiscated back in the 70's. Not transferrable, but that he certainly would not want to see it destroyed. Guy I bought mine from said Sheriff Dept. where we went to high school (Pampa) had 14 of 'em and Sheriff Rufe Jordan used 'em once upon a time to send a clear message to Hell's Angels that they needed to just roll on through to someone else's town.

I was the construction Project Manager on the Pampa prison, circa 1992. Wasn't it named after Rufe Jordan?

That would not surprise me. He served Gray County for many years. And was known for what would be called today "Command Presence".

I clearly recall after some Saturday night "activities" in 1970, 6 buddies and I getting the opportunity for a serious sit down session JUST OUTSIDE of his jail cells. And decided we did not want to EVER have to go there again.
