Rewed CHL early and got it back early . I replaced the old one with my new CHL(wallet getting to fat ) about 4 weeks ago.
The old one is good for 6 more weeks should i carry it till it expires? The new one has no issue/start date only expiration .

I would just use the new one, so you do not forget to replace the old with the new when your old one expires.
But i would NOT carry both (which may be illegal and even if it is not, it could cause an officer to question you more)

Questions from the police should be avoided or at least kept to minimum.

There was a thread a while back where a guy insisted that your new CHL was not valid until your old CHL expired. His argument, which was somewhat hard to follow, was that the CHL is a 5 year license and as such could not be valid more than 5 years before it's expiration date. My response was .
