How many rounds is this for you guys up there?
Regarding global warming; I heard the most genious argument from a liberal..... A person made the same comment as you, suggesting that the ice stroms dispels the global warmimg argument. The liberal replied that ice storms are proof of global warming. How brilliant! No matter what person X says to counter my argument, I simply reply that whatever person X just said is proof of MY argument.
For example;
I say polar bears don't live in south Texas, there has never been a sighting of one. The liberal says the fact I have never seen one is proof they live here. GENIOUS

Re: Starting to sleet in Plano!
Lol... So true.
I think this is our second or third round. The first one was pretty bad. It broke limbs off a couple of my trees because they still had leaves on them.
This is the coldest winter I remember around here in years. It has been great for my business but my old bones are ready for some summer time temps!

It was raining and 35°here in the Pineys when I got up at 6:00 this morning and it's still raining and 35°.
I too think this has been a colder than usual winter but I stop to realize I'm older than usual this winter.

Re: Starting to sleet in Plano!
I just went out to drop off a red box movie. The roads were wet but no ice. My daughter had texted me it was sleeting from golden triangle mall in east Plano. I don't know if it was just a minute or so or what. Her and my SIL are t-totalers, so I know they weren't drinking.
It is forecasted to snow/sleet here tonight. I live where I do because I hate cold weather! I'm moving to Florida if this keeps up! They need air conditioning companies there too.

We lived four miles from the entrance to Disneyworld in the late '80s. Then we were sent to Pampa to build a prison. We prefer Pampa......03Lightningrocks wrote:I just went out to drop off a red box movie. The roads were wet but no ice. I love Florida oldgringo. If I ever leave the great republic of Texas, I will be doing it to move to Florida. When I was doing the drag racing bit, I loved the events in Gainesville and Orlando the best. I have been to Tampa several times, Miami once and it seemed real touristy.
When you typed "pampa Florida" did you mean to type Tampa. Pampa Florida is in Argentina and I will probably stay more north than that.

Look again mi amigo, The Pampa I refer to is Pampa, TEXAS, 60 mile NE of Amarillo, TEXAS in the High Plains on the Caprock. You can have Florida.03Lightningrocks wrote:I love Florida oldgringo. I've been to Borger for work. I hope Pampa is a little nicer.
