Tonight at dinner.

Post by bubba84 »

Sitting next to two old birds at dinner and they are talking about a recent shooting where a man was killed as he broke into a truck in the owners driveway. They actually laid blame on the owner as he was not responsible in securing his belongings well enough to prevent the break in. They further talked about how people that own/use/carry guns are "just looking to shoot someone, and why would you put yourself in a situation where you need protection." I found it rather hilarious that they were discussing this while sitting 5 feet away from my concealed, fully loaded .357 magnum. I wanted so badly to shut them up, but I just listened and laughed to myself.

Disturbing part is they could be on a jury someday judging you or I.

Oh I know, it is truly disturbing that they are not alone in their train of thought.

How could you understand what they were saying? Do you speak fluent sheeple?

so I'm guessing these two women never, ever are in a parking lot after dark? how about during the day? are never, ever in a gas station bathroom? are never in a bookstore? those are just a few places I have been glad I've had mine, never drawn it mind you, but have felt uncomfortable enough that I've double checked that it was there. those are also just a few places that women have been attacked in Texas

I have heard this out of people before and it really cracks me up. My response, "Do you really think the people going to see a Batman movie in Colorado thought they were putting themselves in a situation where they needed protection?"

Most just stare at me blankly in response...go figure.
