Service van recommendations?

As kind of a latecomer to this thread, I still wanted to tell you about my brother's company
experiences with the late model full size Chevrolet cargo vans.

During the same week, my brother's work van and his boss' work van, both full size white Chevy
cargo vans, had the same expensive parts break.

The vans only had about 75,000 miles on them and the throttle bodies broke.
My brother's unit was brought into the Chevy dealership about 900 AM and the repair was completed by 200 PM.
The part was $200. The final total for the repair was $986, for probably less than the 5 hours it was being worked on.

My sister's Chevy Equinox (bought brand new and without too many miles on it), developed a "Check Engine" light
problem which her dealer couldn't fix after repeated visits.

A coworker with a Chevy Cruze, with 45,000 miles on it, also had "Check Engine" problems, and expensive repairs.

My last vehicle was a 2008 Ford Ranger that was king of the lemons on so many fronts.

I currently drive a Mazda CX-5 and the Japanese attention to quality is quite comforting.

Thanks SIA. It has been a few years since we purchased new service vans. My guys are going to hate me when I become a hard case about keeping them cleaned and looking new. I wish there was a way of keeping the techs from stinking them up with cigarette smoke. I hate the thought of how fast they will make them all smell like rolling ash trays. I have an idea for an invention. A chemical compound that smells of triple concentrated skunk when exposed to cigarette smoke but immediately stops emitting the odor when the smoke is no longer present.

We just recently had to replace a throttle body on one of our E250 vans. Maybe it's throttle body month in the mechanics union.

Cheesit, why did you say the throttle bodies should be under an emissions warranty? If they are, is there a mileage or time frame limit on that or is it a government regulation requiring they do it?

Ford tagged us around 900 dollars for that repair.

Emission warrantys are dependdant on the part and weight class of the units. Common is 7/70, 8/80 or 10/100. What ever comes first time or milage.
The throttle body is for air intake and is an emission part (atleast with ford). I pretty sure chevy would follow thecsame badic guid lines.

OH... then at 325,000 miles and 13 years we are probably out of luck.
