Mailed In Application - Still Waiting

Post by Hoppes »

* Attended CHL course on June 02, 2007
* Mailed completed application and documents on June 04, 2007 via U.S. Certified Mail, Return Receipt
* Received signed Certified Return Receipt on June 07, 2007

*Waiting on Pin now.

I was told by CHL Instructor that a Pin should arrive in about ten days. It has been past ten days but not much past. How long should I wait before calling to find out the status of my application materials, etc. ? The Instructor also mentioned to our class group that 1 out of five packets seems to be lost, even if they received it. I hope my packet was not the 1 in 5.

Best Regards,

Hoppes

I recently asked this question, and was told, by one of our resident Instructors, that 30 days was an appropriate amount of time to wait before calling/emailing the state about the PIN

Go here, click on Track the Status of your Application then click on the PIN Number link. That explains how to email them about your PIN.

They received my application on June 4 so I emailed yesterday about my PIN. They emailed it back to me in about 15 minutes. Then it arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. Guess I was too impatient!

it takes a week before they do anything with the packet.. wait 3 weeks and you'll have your PIN.. then you can check your application 6 times a day, and it will take another 3 weeks to get your license.. 126 times is 6 months in dog years..

It took me from Jun 06, 2007 until July 05, 2007 before I recieved the official letter from the CHL Bureau with a Pin. I emailed them before that and received the pin in email on July 02, 2007.

That is slightly less than 30 days.

I'll be waiting patiently now.
