Just send an email and ask them to verify they have your application in process. I got the same message during my latest renewal and so have several other forum members.

NAK - make sure you are not clicking on the link for instructors. That's near the bottom of the page. You should be looking near the top.

slow starting

Post by sting3r »

I have learned that the DPS has issues updating that site. I had to call about 2 weeks after they got my app because of the same thing. Come to find out they have a very limited staff dealing with all the states chl apps....I have heard as little as 2 people doing them all. I fortunately finally got it worked out and the certificate is active and I should be getting the plastic this week....the same week I get my plastic license for my harley:)

side note

Post by sting3r »

also a side note...my status was "no application on file" for a few weeks and probably would have stayed that way if I had not called. Seemed they were missing 2 months of my residential history. Right after I called it flipped to "application incomplete missing information- detailed letter sent". Well on my call I found out what was missing and quickly faxed them the info....****another note**** if you fax MAKE SURE TO CALL TO CONFIRM RECEIPT....seems they dont always get the fax before someone takes it off the machine! So after faxing twice 2 days later it flipped to "processing"....so with all of this said stay on top of your status..it is your application and to be honest the only person who really cares that much about your license is YOU. I learned this from years in the military.
