It just depends (on what I do not know). Mine took about a week for some crazy reason. I have read where peoples went through the next day. Some have sat for much longer.

I believe you ONLY get an email when you send them (your docs) via RDS (Online Upload) or email them in. I have not seen where people got an email when they (snail) mailed the documents in.

If you sent it with delivery confirmation the carrier should be able to tell you when it was delivered...

Congrats! All my docs were uploaded two days after your fingerprints were sent in. I hope to see an update pretty soon.
Some people see it as a shooting range. I see it as a Second Amendment theme park.

They will send you a letter via snail mail letting you know if there is an issue and requesting additional documentation if necessary (no update will show up online for an issue). You may be able to save a little time with a phone call. It is difficult to get through and may have a substantial hold time though. (If it is just the backlog expect a standard answer of the process takes 60-90 days total.) Email is also an option but they tend to be so slow answering them to not be worth it. Sometimes waiting a day or 2 is all it takes. In the end it is up to you.
