Hired a bodyguard today

Post by Texsquatch »

After a month of hunting for a used S&M Bodyguard .380, I've went ahead and had my local shop order me one. My patience can only hold out for so long, and I didn't feel there were any good deals on the used market. Plus, I was checking Texasguntrader.com more frequently than a teenager checks their facebook page. I was surprised of how proud some folks are of their used pocket pistols. Many were asking more for used ones than what GT or Academy were asking for the ones on their shelves. After fondling the M&P version my last trip to Academy, I made my mind up 100% for the Bodyguard over the LCP, but I talked myself out of buying it right then just to give the used market a chance. I guess it's a thrill of the hunt kind of thing.

GT only carries the laser version, and Academy has one of the better prices for the M&P at $349, but by some miracle, my local shop ordered me one for less than that, so why settle for used, right?

The pistol and my new Remora should arrive at the same time, so it'll be a quick trip to the range (I have a new LCR to shoot too) and then the Bodyguard goes on duty just in time for summer if all goes well.

Of course, it might enjoy it a little too much, if you did! :leaving

Catalog said it comes with a chain. I assume to be chained to your belt like a big wallet because I'm not piercing anything just to wear this gun.
