bench vise

I don't know how good this is or what, but the price seems pretty nice for a heavy duty looking vise. If only I had the space in my tiny apt to work on refurbishing this, I would jump on it. I assume you can just flip it to use the other end correct? I've never used a vise with a regular clamp and a pipe clamp before.
Just posting this hear in case someone may be interested.

Just to reiterate, you will definitely need a set of vise blocks. Do NOT try clamping the upper(especially) or the lower without the block. The most important is the upper block, as you can do most of the lower work without one (except break staked castle nuts loose). If you don't want to order from Brownells, Academy sells a very nice upper and lower block and most stores in San Antonio stock them.

I need to get a vise. I just don't have the room for a workbench. I have been looking up some alternatives and saw someone on AR15.com make one out of a heavy duty 3 step ladder with the vise bolted to the top. It pretty much made it portable where he can just fold the ladder to put it away in a corner. I was thinking about bolting it down to a 2ft x 2ft - 3/4" plywood with 2x10 underneath for reinforcement for the bolts. When I use it, I can just stand on it for torquing down the barrel. I basically want to be able to build/work on uppers instead of just buying them.

You can make/ buy a pipe stand to mount a vise too then drill Sheilds into the concrete & bolt it down. Just remove the bolts when you want it out of the way. That's if you can bolt it to the floor. Also if you have a work bench you can mount a receiver hitch to it & make a plate mounted to a hitch. You can do the same with bench grinders & other tools.

I live in an apt so I can't bolt anything down into the ground.

As of right now everything is at a complete haunt gun related. I am about to fork over (hopefully) about 6k or more for eye surgery as a considerable effort to become an LEO.

this has sort of come to a hault. I have 20/20 with contacts. I go see a retina specialist on the 29th and go see a different cornea specialist later. I will say this NEVER go to key-wittman they are horriable on communication and treatment.
