New Orleans: Off duty cop shoots armed robber

Post by TomV »

Why was this kid still out on bond? At least he is no longer a burden on the justice system.

Judges refusing to take criminals off the street has been a problem in NOLA as long as I can remember.

This just kills me. If someone is reduced to robbing for living then, given the opportunity, that is simply what they are going to do. This guy had three strikes and the judge somehow justifies letting him roam the streets to rob again? what the heck! The judge should be voted out at the next election. This is not a matter of being a hard nosed judge or not, It's just common sense when someone is violating rules of the bond they get time out. What is wrong with society these days?

Quote from NOLA DA's office: "He continually violated the conditions of that bond by testing positive for narcotics for which there was no consequence. Finally, he committed a third robbery, but the court denied the motion by the District Attorney’s office to revoke his bond in the armed robbery case."
Badges!?!?, We don't need no stinkin Badges!!!
