Nice Hi Powers. I'm guessing the bottom one is a Mk II, is the top a MK III? Or am I mis-remembering, and does the Mk II also have the external extractor?

The blued one is also Browning HP-P35, post war II, with a finger-groove on the right of the slide, internal ejector and no lanyard loop. Per inspector proof (1951 to 1953).
Starting 1962 all HP have external ejectors.
Browning does not have good year per serial number record for pre-1954 models
