I definitely want to try the P938. I've heard great things about it.canvasbck wrote:OK, I'm not a Sig Guy. I just don't like the ergonomics. That being said, I have shot the P938 and if I were buying a pocket gun, I'm sold! Probably the best shooting compact I have fired.
They may have had some QC. issues, bit what I know about Sig is that, like the other big manufacturers, they stand behind their product and will correct any problems you may have.
Or..............get a Hi Point and throw it away when it breaks.

I've owned just about every model they've produced over the years & still have 4 of them in my safe right now, they're the one brand I always go back too (well, them & HK). I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another couple, they are great guns.

I've had a P238 for a while. It's a pussycat and really fun to shoot, but... it's a .380.Selina Kyle wrote:I definitely want to try the P938. So I bought a P938 from a forum member. It's a whole different kettle of fish. While it looks, feels, and handles just like the P238, the similarities end when you pull the trigger. I'll carry it occasionally, but it's definitely not fun to shoot.

Re: Thoughts on SIG?
You'd probably never be able to guess it, but I'm a big Sig fan (along with H&K). I've owned 14 Sigs at one time, but an down to nine right now. Across all of those the only one I've ever had an issue with was an early production Mosquito that just didn't like anything but Mini-mags. As it wasn't a target pistol I wasn't interested in feeding its habit and ended up selling it. I do have a bias towards the older short extractor models, but wouldn't hesitate to pick up a new production gun either. As a matter of fact I've been eyeing a 227 as well as reading a lot of the good reviews of the new 320.
All that to say that for as many bad stories you hear about Sigs (or any guns for that matter, except maybe Lorcin) there are probably 10x the number of happy customers. It's just happy customers don't go on the internet to vent to anyone that will listen. But as someone else said, whether it's Sig or another gun, make sure to try before you buy.
