"Assault Rifle" when talking about a aemi-auto. Either it's an intentional lie or the speaker is dimmer than a dead firefly.

"Plebs" as an insult.

Although it's especially entertaining when the dimwit drops the "s" because they don't know plebs is singular.

Orientate.........which is as ignorant as "conversate".

The principal of a high school was on television recently and used the non-word "conversate".

I couldn't believe it until I considered he was a public school principal... I kept waiting for his to say "ain't" without irony.

"On accident" is one that drives me over the top.

"I'm not a morning person"

Oh yeah, well you better pretend you are or you're out of here!

On an audio book I was listening too, the narrator said "Calvary" when he meant "CAValry" I hear this word mix up quite often.

Calvary: A hill near Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified

Cavalry: (military) troops trained to fight on horseback

The two words aren't that difficult to differentiate, yet...

"Ya think?" - This pseudo-bon mot is no more original, than "How's that working out for ya"?

For you that exercise these banalities, stop. You're embarrassing yourselves.

You don't sound like sardonic hipsters - just utterly lacking in originality.

Of course, you probably also use other duds like "That's gonna leave a mark" and grin looking for appreciation like it hasn't already been gibbered by millions...ya, you're super witty.

Guilty as charged.
Unfortunately for some, these do amuse me at least occasionally.
Not for nothing (how many folks did I get with that one? :reddevil ) - I'll take this usage under consideration instead of blankly parroting it the next time the opportunity strikes

Tempature as in "I think I have a tempature".

The word is temperature.

"I think I have a temperature" - I KNOW you have a temperature. The question is, do you have a fever? ;-)
