Post by davidjg »

What exactly are the Texas ammunition laws? Are we limited as to what types of ammo we can carry? :???:

More specifically, any handgun ammo is OK with the exception of armor piercing, incendiary, and exploding. So load 'em up with the hollow point or FMJ of your choice. :tiphat:

Armor piercing ammunition is prohibited under 46.05, but I see nothing about incendiary or exploding ammunition...

If you have any doubts, you can always ask your local PD what their officers carry, and use those.

Er, mmmmmm maybe I just assumed that about the incendiary and exploding ammo. I can see little or no use for either in handguns. Mea culpa.
