A friend in Montgomery Co found two Vizslas.

Post by puma guy »

I have a friend on Face book that had two starving and thirsty Vizslas (they both look like males) show up on his porch today. One has a collar but no ID. He lives in rural Montgomery county. They're are beautiful dogs and appear to be very well mannered. He can not keep the dogs and has called the local animal shelter. He Ok'd me to post it on a FB site for Vizsla Rescues with his phone number. I don't know if rules here allow a link for Face Book links so just go to there and type in Vizlas Rescue. Here's a picture of the dogs. Hope someone can give the dogs a good home.
EDIT: PM me for his phone number if you are interested.

Handsome dogs. I'll bet their owner is frantic they got out...
Too many and too big for my space. Thanks to you and your buddy for taking the time to find their owner or a new home for them. :tiphat:

They've been out on the "range" a while i think. In some of the other pictures he posted there are some old wounds and other marks that indicate they've been on their own for sometime and both are very skinny.

Were they checked for micro chips?

I understand that they were micro-chipped. The Vizsla Rescue FB said they found the owner but I'm not clear if he's picked them up yet. I think they will be in good hands even if he doesn't. I'd love to be able to take a couple of dogs like these, but we already have 4.

Good to hear that the owner was located. Please do let us know how it goes. If he does not show I may be interested (our family has a few velcro dogs already). Thanks
